Veneer

It is a method to solve the problem of significant modification of tooth color,
that cannot be done by bleaching, severe labial erosions, re-contouring of teeth,
correction of morphologic anomalies, multiple existing non aesthetic restorations
and lengthening of teeth. Veneers are custom, porcelain facings that are bonded to
the front surfaces of teeth to whiten teeth, close spaces, straighten teeth, or repair
chipped or worn teeth. The veneers are only about 1 mm thick (the thickness of
a fingernail). For porcelain veneer, a temporary veneer is made, and the dental
laboratory fabricates a beautiful porcelain shell that is bonded to the tooth. For
composite resin veneer, can be done on one visit.
