Gynecomastia

In adolescence, male breasts can grow due to adiposity or excessive growth of mammae tissue. Symptoms may appear during adolescence or afterwards as well. Sometimes we will find men with large breasts, such as women’s breasts, because of excess fat in the area. Actually it is a common thing, not something serious, but some people feel disturbed because of health problems and lack of confidence.

Although this is a common problem among many men, it can cause a feeling of lack of confidence in someone, and can destroy social life because of inferiority. Gynecomastia is an enlargement of male breast tissue caused by an imbalance of the hormones estrogen and testosterone. It is estimated that between 40 and 60 percent of men experience breast enlargement. The procedure for treating gynecomastia includes suctioning out fat in the breast under sedation anesthesia.

In general, normal men who experience breast enlargement and want to improve the shape of her chest.

Consult with a specialist plastic surgeon, discuss medical history before performing surgery, do a lab check, at least 2 weeks before surgery, patients must stop smoking and consume alcohol. Stop taking supplements that contain gingko biloba, vitamin E, and medications that are blood thinners. fasting before surgery at least 8 hours before.

This operation uses sedation. And the process is about 1 hour per area.

After gynecomastia surgery, patients can go home immediately, though they will be asked to go back for checkup within the next day (depending on the patient’s condition). Maximum results are seen after 3 months.
