Electromagnetic Pelvic Therapy, New Treatment from Ultimo Clinic
The only Standard Therapy for rebuilding Strength and Endurance of Pelvic Floor Muscles
What is Pelvic Floor Muscle?
Pelvic floor is the set of muscles inside your body that control the movements of sexual organs, between your abdomen and your pelvis. The pelvic organs are the bladder and bowel in men, and bladder, bowel and uterus in women. The diagram below shows the pelvic organs and pelvic floor muscles in women (right) and men (left).
What do pelvic floor muscles do?
Pelvic floor muscles provide support to the organs that lie on it. The sphincters give us conscious control over the bladder and bowel so that we can control the release of urine, feces and flatus and allow us to delay emptying until it is convenient. When the pelvic floor muscles are contracted, the internal organs are lifted and the sphincters tighten the openings of the vagina, anus and urethra. Relaxing the pelvic floor allows passage of urine and feces.
Pelvic floor muscles are also important for sexual function in both men and women. In men, it is important for erectile function and ejaculation. In women, voluntary contractions (squeezing) of the pelvic floor contribute to sexual sensation and arousal. In women also provide support for the baby during pregnancy and assist in the birthing process.
Common problems with pelvic floor muscles
The pelvic floor muscles can sometimes become too loose, weak or tight and cause some problem for women and men.
Pelvic floor dysfunction may include any of a group of clinical conditions that includes urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, chronic prostatitis, sexual dysfunction (orgasm problems and erectile dysfunction), vaginal tonus (after 3 weeks delivery) and also hemorrhoids.
It is estimated that at least one-third of adult women are affected by at least one of these conditions. Furthermore, statistics show that 30 to 40 percent of women suffer from some degree of incontinence in their lifetime, and that almost 10 percent of women will undergo surgery for urinary incontinence or pelvic organ prolapse. Thirty percent of those undergoing surgery will have at least two surgeries in trying to correct the problem. Some conditions are reversible, with pelvic floor exercises, or Kegel exercises recommended in strengthening the area’s muscles. Devices and probes are also available over the counter, which purport to increase pelvic floor tone by stimulating muscle contractions with electrical impulses.
Ultimo Clinic has always been the pioneer to provide the best for your health, and now we introduce to you new treatment for pelvic floor problems to improve your quality of life.
We offer you Extracorporeal Magnetic Innervation (ExMI). This truly innovative technology which has been approved by FDA, combines a basic principle of physics to provide a therapy that is totally non-invasive, painless, comfortable and, most important, effective for:
Unlike any other therapy, ExMI demands all the muscles of the pelvic floor to rebuild strength and endurance and re-establishing bladder control.
The Treatments of ExMI
The therapy is completely painless. Nothing else is needed except for a chair and the patient, sitting fully dressed in a comfortable chair. The patient will feel a small vibration or tapping while sitting and will also be able to feel the pelvic floor muscles contracting.
A treatment session takes around 20 minutes, two or three times a week. Usually there will be signs of improvement after 6 to 8 sessions. And for greatest result, a minimum of 20 sessions is recommended.
How the ExMI works
It’s a lot simpler than you might think. ExMI technology produces highly focused pulsed magnetic fields. The pelvic floor muscles contract and relax with each magnetic pulse, creating a physical exercise like any other muscular workout, except the brain is not directing the contraction. One way to think of this technology is as an automatic Kegel exercise machine, yet differs in that the contractions involve all the muscles, are done at a level of power above that of a self-produced contraction and a total of more than 18,000 in one twenty minute treatment.
The ExMI technology penetration of the pelvic floor reaches up to 8 cm.
This is the best therapy that will bring you best result for your pelvic floor problems
