Arm Lift (Brachioplasty): Tightening the Upper Arms

Arm Lift · Brachioplasty
by dr. Enrina Diah, Sp.BP-RE, KKF & dr. Grace Boaz, Sp.BP-RE

An arm lift (brachioplasty) removes excess skin and fat from the upper arms for a firmer, more defined contour. It addresses sagging upper arms, common after weight loss or with aging.

Who Is It For?

NOTE

An arm lift removes excess skin and, when needed, fat through an incision on the inner arm. When fat predominates without much loose skin, liposuction alone may be enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the arm-lift scar?

The incision is usually on the inner upper arm, so it is less visible from the front, and it fades over time.

If the main issue is fat and the skin is still elastic, liposuction alone may suffice. If the skin is already loose and sagging, skin removal (an arm lift) is needed.
