Lower Blepharoplasty

Restoring a smooth under-eye that blends into the cheek — not simply removing fat.

Lower blepharoplasty addresses under-eye bags and lax lower-lid skin that make the face look tired. The goal is not simply to remove fat, but to restore a smooth under-eye that blends into the cheek. At Ultimo Clinic, it is performed by dr. Grace Boaz, Sp.BP-RE.

INDICATIONS

What It Addresses

TWO MAIN APPROACHES

Transconjunctival (from inside the lid, with no external incision — for patients whose main issue is fat/bags) and Transcutaneous (an incision just below the lash line — when excess skin needs removing). In many cases, fat repositioning is preferred over removal, to avoid a hollow under-eye.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between transconjunctival and transcutaneous?
Transconjunctival is done from inside the lid with no external incision — suited to when the main issue is fat bags. Transcutaneous uses a fine incision below the lash line — chosen when excess skin needs removing.
Often it is repositioned rather than simply removed, so the under-eye doesn't look hollow and the result is more natural. The approach is determined at consultation.
